This rare, strikingly detailed “CPOAChallenge Coin commemorates the dedicated leadership and courageous service of past and present Chief Petty Officers (CPOs) who served aboard Naval Special Warfare Group Two (NSWG 2) Logistics and Support Unit (LOGSU 2) stationed at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek - Fort Story in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

LOGSU2's primary mission is to provide logistical and other support services to NSWG-2 and its subordinate units in order to directly support Naval Special Warfare (NSW) operations and training at home and forward deployed to the European, Central, Africa and Southern commands.

Naval Special Warfare (NSW) has eight Navy SEAL Teams. The odd-numbered Teams (1, 3, 5 and 7) are subordinate commands of NSW Group ONE (NSWG-1) in Coronado, California, and 2, 4, 8, and 10 are under NSW Group TWO (NSWG-2) in Little Creek, Virginia. A SEAL Team is commanded by a Navy Commander (O-5), and is comprised of a HQS element and eight operational 16-man SEAL Platoons. These platoons rotate in a continuous and rigorous planned cycle of training and overseas deployments. Platoons can be structured to operate as 8-man Squads, 4-man Fire Teams, or 2-man Sniper/Reconnaissance Teams, as required. It is this organizational structure that makes the NSW force light, mobile, swift, flexible, effective and virtually undetectable.

This unique military special operations force (SOF) Challenge Coin measures approximately 2.0 inches in diameter.
