OOOOOO MMMMMM GEEEEEE !!! Super RARE HUGE Rug by Laura Ashley in their elusive DOCHERTY design - discontinued many moons ago and to find one in this condition is a right confection of a find!
This is a THIN PILE rug and thus can be folded for posting, the wrinkles/crease folds from this should diminish once the rug is left to lay on a flat surface for a short while.
CONDITION: Offered in very good pre-owned condition - this has been well cared for. There is a slight colour difference on one edge of the rug compared to the other, this was probably made through more exposure to the sun light and only notices when you look for it, the slight colour. No stains and only a few isolated surface dust to the outer edges, main body of the rug is in immaculate and could pass for new. Please do take the time to scroll DOWN for ALL the pictures, and the rug in the pictures is the rug that you will receive.
No wear - i.e no bald patches, no rips, pulls and nooooo suspect whiffs - utterly ready to take pride of place in its new home.
PATTERN & COLOURS: Exquisite rug by way of design, colours and of course weave - the patterns are textured and raised off the backing, adding more depth and character to what is a sensationally beautiful looking rug already!
French Aubusson inspired weave/pattern featuring a central cartouche or 'frame' showcasing floral clusters along with French fanciful scrolls and swooping scrolls. Stunning colourway to compliment the rug, officially labelled as "LAVENDER/GOLD" through LA, this is a lovely shade of purple along with accents of greens and palest golds. I have added a few pictures of the rug sat next to my old trusty Farrow and Ball paint chart for a very broad comparison to colours/tones used.

The mass proportion of what I sell are "one offs" and will almost always have had been pre-owned and homed/used elsewhere; thus by their very nature will exhibit inconspicuous signs to indicate their previous life. Any significant markings, stains, blemishes, rips etc etc will always be highlighted and more than often will be accompanied by a picture of the offender(s), therefore take the time to EXAMINE all the pictures. In the interests of hygiene please ensure that you have accounted for the need to have such items washed/cleaned/freshened before using. The cleaning costs is NOT my responsibility and again, this is a cost that you should factor when purchasing SECOND HAND or PRE-OWNED products.

✿ Postal/shipping arrangements are normally made within 24-48 hours of cleared payment - excluding weekends & holidays. Please reciprocate this by leaving feedback for your item when you receive, this just lets me know that your item has arrived at its destination & of course if there is a problem, do get in touch.
✿ Once your order has been processed and prepared for shipping, you will be notified with relevant tracking details for your item. Shipping/dispatch estimates are from the point of dispatch, i.e when I hand your item to the carrier.
✿ Shipping is to the address on your PAYPAL payment only!! I am happy to ship to an alternative address for which you will need to add this address onto your paypal and/or eBay prior to making payment.
✿ Postage is always tracked for both home & overseas. Unfortunately I have suspended posting to HIGHLANDS, OFF SHORE ISLES (IOM, IOW) and N. IRELAND due to the surcharge that the carrier apply as this is classed as non mainland UK. Residents in these areas if you would like to bid/purchase, please contact me with your postcode so I can obtain an EXACT cost.
✿ Shipping is through national freight couriers which is invariably an all day call out. If you are not in, they will either automatically redeliver the next working day, leave a card for you to contact them to reschedule and/or deliver to a local depot/collection point nearby for you to pick up. Should their attempts be unsuccessful, the item will be returned back to me where a 2nd delivery charge will become applicable. Do ensure that a correct contact telephone number is provided as this is required to complete your booking with the carrier.
✿ It is the BUYERS responsibility to request insurance which covers for the FULL final selling price of the item as the standard level of cover is normally £20-£50 therefore should you not cover for the full cost then the amount recovered should there be a loss or damage in transit would only be this amount only. Should the need to claim for insurance due to damages to your item in transit, details will be forwarded onto you to file the claim, I will of course assist as much as I possibly can.

✿ Sadly NO personal collections from my home; however, I understand that you may live very close by to me so am happy to arrange to meet in a public place near my home.
✿ Please make contact within 24 hrs of listing end and kindly pay no later than 2 days of listing end - sorry this is due to the vast numbers of "fun bidders". Unpaid item disputes will be logged automatically after 2 days after auction/listing end and you may lose your right to the item. I will of course work with you and help as much as I can, so if there is likely to be a delay in getting payment sorted, please email me - I won't bite but I can't help if I don't know!
✿ Accepted forms of payment is PAYPAL - if you are using e-cheques please allow sufficient time for this to clear with paypal as your item will not be released for dispatch until the e-cheque has cleared. Postal orders in GB sterling and bankers cheques, which again will require bank clearance before your item gets dispatched.
NO QUIBBLE RETURNS & REFUNDS
Please, please take a few minutes to read through my Returns and Refunds policy. I have tried to keep it as fair and as comprehensive as possible, for I am NOT an occasional seller that is out to make a 'quick buck' and to shrug my responsibilities when something goes wrong - be it from something I have neglected to mention or simply because you have changed your mind - so there is no need to fib about your reasons for wishing to return any items purchased through me.
Email me in the first instance preferably earlier rather than later; citing your reasons for returning. Items MUST be in the SAME condition and the SAME packaging as it had left me, and whereby you have taken any remedial actions on said item(s) then you waive the right to a refund/return as it will be deemed you have accepted the item(s) condition and therefore the item(s) ownership has passed onto you.
Otherwise, once granted, all item(s) must be received back no later than 3 working days of approval - please send your item TRACKED AND INSURED.
Once received, it will be inspected and should there be any evidence to suggest that they have been used whilst in your care, I reserve the right to deduct a nominal charge for fair usage from the funds due back. Of course, if it remains in the same condition as it had left me - the total purchase price will be returned.
In all instances the return postage cost remains at the buyers responsibility, therefore I do encourage you to ask as many questions as possible BEFORE committing to a bid/purchase as this will cut down the need to return thus would not leave you out of pocket for postage costs.
Should the need for return be an error made by me, I will honour a full refund to include all associated postage costs.
