Sari silk chiffon ribbon is a silk ribbon yarn produced from the remnants of sari silk fabric from the sari mills in India. It is the leftover silk sari fabric that would otherwise be destroyed and sent to landfill. It is made into a silk ribbon yarn by women's co-operatives in India. They tie or sew sari ribbon strips end to end to form a continuous yarn. Yarn Yarn have our colours custom dyed for us to our specifications. We have been working with these women's co-operatives since 2008. The ethical yarns that are produced from waste silk and other fibres by these remarkable women are simply stunning.
