Intelsat V communications satellite were built by Ford Aerospace & Communications Corp (FACC), now Loral Space Systems, Palo Alto, CA, in the late '70's and early '80s. Fifteen of these satellites were built. Each of the initial 7 satellites could handle something like 12,000 phone calls and two TV signals. The satellite mass was about 1100 Kg on-orbit.

All three patches are unused.

2) Spacecraft Integration Test INTELSAT V patch measures 5" in diameter
3) Escort / Lynx 10-6-80 INTELSAT V patch measures 5" in diameter
