Keep your friend snuggly this winter

Want to tempt your best friend off the furniture then get him or her a personalised oversized tailored blanket.

These are not like the lightweight fluffy examples that proliferate the Internet. These pet blankets are VERY warm, durable and practical.

 After buying cheap nasty, fluffy fly-away ones from pet shops that lasted a matter of weeks and that weren’t big enough to even reach the ground when my dog lay down I decided to make my own as I operate within the textile trade. I wasn’t going to make them for sale but after ‘gentle persuasion’ by friends who insisted I also make them one I have decided to branch out from my normal produce and make them available.

If you have a giant breed such as a Great Dane, Rottweiler, Mastiff or a St Bernard etc then the Giant one will be more than ample. The dog in the picture is my dog, Bertie and he is just shy of 12 stone to give you an idea of just how generous these blankets are! He loves his as there is PLENTY to tuck in even for a big beauty like him. He gets a bit of arthritis in his hips so it is important to keep him warm in the winter months. If your Labrador or similar is a little ‘ample’ because of a love of snacking, one of these will wrap them up a treat.

·  Save yourself money as these are HUGE enough to cover the back seat of the car as well.

  PERSONALISE with a name and a saying/phrase around the image you choose: Up to 10 letters above the embroidered image and up to 10 letters below. ( If it is one or two letters more just mail me and I will try to fit it in for you)

·  Great in caravans, boats or motor homes as they cover an entire sofa or bed if you choose the Giant size at 5 feet by 5 feet. We take these blankets in our own motorhome as the price of cleaning motorhome/caravan/boat/car upholstery is excruciatingly expensive.

·  The XL one covers most of a single bed so if your best friend likes to get on the bed save the quilt.

· Various colours and images to choose from.

·  Fully machine washable (They wash again and again and again….  I think our Bertie’s is on its’ thirtieth wash and it’s still soft and warm!)

Priced less than many of the ‘disposable’ types readily available from well-known high street outlets.

If you want to spend a couple of quid less and end up with a cheap fly away baby blanket that will start to perish after a couple of weeks and is barely big enough to cover a doll then e-bay has lots on  offer.  However if you want a very durable, warm, generous sized personalised pet blanket that can be used in many circumstances you are in the right place.

In the past I have had to make super-sized ones for people with giant breeds and the blanket was to be used for back seats of Range Rovers etc. As an example I made one @ 6 foot X 6 foot for an Irish Wolf Hound recently. Mail me to ask for a price on these one offs. I also ran one up big enough to cover a corner sofa for another customer as their dog had a weakness for covering it in hair and it was driving them insane.
