The blazer has brown old leather football style buttons and a gorgeous gold lining which finishes this amazing blazer perfectly.
This blazer is very special in terms of quality and design and is a cut above most Harris Tweeds you will find today.
I have sized this blazer as a 42R however please look at the measurements below to get the exact sizing. Button the jacket and lay it face down to take these measurements
Details include: breast pocket, 2 buttons fastening, 2 flap pockets, brown buttons, 2 inside pockets and double vent
Measurements
Pit to pit - 22.75 inches
Length from collar base - 30 inches
Across middle - 20.5 inches
Shoulder to shoulder - 19.5 inches
Arm length from pit - 17 inches
Arm length from shoulder seam - 25 inches
You will see from the pictures that I have tried to show how this can be matched with a nice shirt and waistcoat, however it would work just as well with a plain t shirt and pair of jeans.
This jacket would work just as well on a night out as it would as daytime wear or indeed country pursuits or a day at the races. The quality of the workmanship on this jacket is exceptional unlike many of the jackets around today and the fact that it is made with Harris tweed which is the worlds best make this a very special jacket indeed.
About Harris Tweed
By far the best tweed produced in the world, Harris Tweed is a cloth that has been handwoven by islanders at their homes in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, finished in the Outer Hebrides, and made from pure virgin wool dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides. Harris Tweed is protected by the Harris Tweed Act, which strictly outlines the conditions in which the cloth can genuinely be made.
Authentic Harris Tweed is issued with the Harris Tweed Orb Mark after inspection by the Harris Tweed Authority, the industry's governing body.
The Harris Tweed Orb Mark is the United Kingdom's oldest certification mark and is recognised all over the world.
Certification marks are trademarks with a difference. This ancient method of identifying products has its roots in the medieval guild system. Groups of traders, characterised by profession or location, were recognised through their guild and the reputation that was associated with it, guaranteeing that goods or services meet a defined standard or possess a particular characteristic.
