• STEUERPIMPEL: $9.75 ea. This steuerpimpel has a closed end just as with the original, allowing for more surface contact on the main lever action plate.  It is slightly cushioned, but firm, not soft and spongy. The pad surface has a gentle curve to the edge so that it can glide smoothly and grip when it needs to. Each one is hand made, shaped and ground individually, with one closed end.  Once installed and functioning, they "seat in" and become part of the complete glide-clutch-friction system which operates the turntable.  Steuerpimpels are conditioned and pre-treated with Alvania prior to shipment.  This Steuerpimpel has been used on all conventional Dual models which use this type tonearm Guide. Fits Dual and PE turntables which use them, primarily made in the 1970s well into the 1980s. Check service manual to be sure, (10xx up to the Dual 1216 used the white mushroom-shaped pimpel which is usually repairable and discussed in my PDF Manual.  5xx, 6xx, 7xx, 12xx above 1216 models generally use the steuerpimpel in this listing)  or make a visual confirmation (often called "guide" in most translations. Some SMs don't mention it, but most likely your model uses it.   The lower one takes all the abuse, after many years the lower "guide" usually disintegrates, and .... as customer Alex said, "turns to dirt," affecting smooth arm operation for start and end-play/return. Sometimes they split in half and just disappear.  The tan ones in particular often break up into bits.   I don't recommend changing the topside pimpel (guide) by the tonearm gimbel, but if that pimpel is missing or damaged let me know. It is ok for the purchaser to have two units for the underside so that you'll have an extra to choose from thereby making it an easier repair; and it is good to have a spare which can then be secured to the inside of the base unit or used for the next Dual turntable acquisition.

• SINGLE/MULTI LIFTER RING (WASHER) FOR DUAL MODELS 1219, 1229, 1229Q, 1249:  $5.50 first one, $4.49 for additional rings in the same order.  2mm wall thickness assures flexibility during raise/lower operation.  Available with purchase of service guide or one or more steuerpimpels.   The old part dries out and won’t flex, making the single-multi shift Lever inoperable – or it causes other malfunctions.  Under certain conditions applying force to the shift lever with a bad SM ring in place can break the entire lift mechanism which then requires replacement of the complete tonearm or replacement of the Dearing Ring component. This durable, Tygon part resists decay and is cut straight with smooth edges, something that is difficult to do using a home-cut piece of hose, and It ships with Alvania grease already pre-applied to the inside surface. Lifter Rings and ball bearings ship with combined S&H ($3.99) with basic Steuerpimpel order.

• MOTOR BEARING FASTENER KIT, 12 PCS:  $2.75 Includes one set 3 #4-40 machine screws and matching nuts, 6 washers (3 inside teeth, 3 outside teeth) for reattaching round motor bearing cup after disassembly, servicing and lubrication. Hardware is thread-tested and mounted on screws in package. Full instructions in the PDF guide. For round motor units only i.e. 1009, 1019, 1219, 1229, etc. Felt replacement washer is available for the round motor bearing cup (they are hand-cut and trimmed, $5.75 ea).

• DUAL TURNTABLE GREASE - Alvania / Retinax: 5.5ml $4.85;  7.5ml $5.90  This is the genuine Alvania / Retinax Gadus S2 V220-2  lubricant for the Dual turntables, also many other types as well. Carefully measured and packed in sealed cups and wrapped for shipment.  Enough for servicing at least  6-10 turntables;  this is fresh in-date NLGI Grade 2, 220 cSt Extreme Pressure type high viscosity product.    Alvania / Retinax Gadus S2 V220-2 is plastics-safe high performance multipurpose EP grease, suitable for many lubrication points in the turntable. It will not dissolve the plastic parts as will some random types of lubricants.  Alvania / Retinax lasts for many years and has the right consistency for these turntables. $12 order minimum for any item combination, incl S&H.  Message me first to include this item in a custom order.
