You are viewing an IWC for Porsche Design vintage compass watch ref 3510. This model was introduced in 1978 and was the first model in the partnership between Porsche Design and IWC. The Movement has been cleaned and inspected by our expert watchmaker and is functioning properly and keeping time (at last spot check it lost around 60 seconds over 24h). The watchmaker markings on the underside of the mirror indicate that the piece has been serviced regularly during its life.

The latch function works every time and the mirror is free from scratches and corrosion, however the compass has a tendency to stick due to friction between the needle and the glass. Although it can be dragged around using a small magnet, it does not move freely as it should.

It has clearly been well worn for many years and the PVD-coated aluminum case exhibits the normal wear associated with this coating technique. The serial number and engravings however are still visible on the reverse (International Watch Company, Automatic, 2248124).

It comes with an aftermarket Speidel bracelet that has been with the watch for some years.
