CAO Meerschaum hand carved pipe, intricate grapevine around an "egg" bowl pattern. This pipe was does not appear to have been smoked, and according to the widow, has been around before the 1980's. The condition is very good to excellent. The pipe has not been sanitized or cleaned beyond wiping off. Stem has a high gloss shine with no marks. Bowl is not cracked or have any significant marks. Very minor darkening. There are no CAO stickers on this pipe but the carving, stem, and case are identical to others in the collection with these markings. Case in good condition but could use some minor glueing of the trim. Pipe is approximately 10" long. 

From the estate of a family member who collected many fine high end items and in many cases used very few of them. This was one of 5 CAO Meerschaum pipes, 2 remaining. Also available in separate listings were Preben Holm, Castello, Bari Wiking, and Savinelli pipes. Only 1 Savinelli remaining. I am not a pipe smoker and only did so briefly a few decades ago and certainly did not have pipes of this quality.
