SIDE NOTEWe did not select 'NEW' when listing this item and we do not know why it is showing as 'NEW'. We have tried to revise the item listing to remove the 'NEW' and there was no button or box to click on to change/remove that. Obviously this guitar is not 'NEW' and is not being sold as 'NEW'. Please be advised of that.

In the interest of full disclosure, we are not certain what we have here. At first look it appears this Gibson Les Paul is a knock-off, a fake. The neck most certainly is, as indicated by the paint job by the nut and the font size of the letter 'i' in 'Gibson', not to mention the generic tuners, definitely not Gibson. The body on the other hand appears to have more potential for authenticity. The hardware wells are not painted black (very common in the Chinese knock-offs for these Les Pauls). This is encouraging. The humbuckers we've not been able to identify, neither have we been able to nail down the manufacture of the volume and tone pots. The woodwork on the body itself though is very good (in our opinion). It feels well-balanced and the finish has very few divots or buckle abrasions. It is our opinion, it is a 80s or 90s era body, though we are not guaranteeing it. The pickups, volume, tone, and selector switch have been tested and are all functional. Again, the neck looks copied and the crown has some corner damage (see photos). Because we respect our musician buyers we have endeavored to take rather comprehensive photography to assist in making the most informed purchase decision possible. In summation, we think we have a mix of copy, fake and original pieces from several decades ago. There is a lot here to like and possibly love, depending on collector perspective. We think that the upside is better here than the downside but will defer to the more informed collectors out there to make that determination. We think it might serve well as a parts guitar or possibly even a project guitar as a comparison against restored originals of the same style. At any rate, we will let you all and an auction decide it's value. Thanks for stopping by and indulging our limited knowledge. Good luck to all who bid.

We will be removing the remaining two strings and neck again for shipping purchases.
