 1945-Style Work or Cocktail Dress


Gene is modeling a dress fitted with yoke seams, extra skirt seams, and darts.  The dress is made of cotton knits in white, pink and black.  It has full-length sleeves. The neckline and hem are hand hemmed. Pink bugle beads run down the center seam.  The back closes with snaps.


This outfit has been specifically made to fit Gene, Madra and Violet dolls from a Vogue Craft pattern for 15 1/2"
Gene dolls.


This custom ensemble will be a unique addition to your doll's wardrobe.

The doll, shoes, and stand are not included.


I create and sew all clothing in a smoke-free home.  I've been a professional dressmaker for 50 years.  I have enjoyed creating and selling one-of-a-kind outfits for Barbie dolls for 35 years, and I have extended this to the popular 15 1/2" - 16" dolls.  Inspiration comes from doll patterns, theatrical costume books, Tom Tierney Paper Doll historical fashion books, etc.
