     Classic MBT leather walking shoes (“the anti-shoe”).  Uppers have equal amounts of breathable mesh fabric and supportive leather, with toe and heels guards.  Leather cushioning to collar.  Full mesh lining. Soles and heels have lots of various anti-slip cleats.  “Swiss engineered,” “Patented Worlwide.”  Article No. 400171-82.

     “MBT” stands for Masai Barefoot Technology.  Its shoes use a multi-layered, cured sole, curved up at the front and back, to simulate walking in sand (similar to the natural walking environment of the Masai).  This creates a natural, uneven walking surface that forces the body to use all the major and stabilizing muscle groups, thus training the whole body to move correctly.  Regular users report that after the first few uses, walking seems effortless, your stride shortens and becomes quicker, and you naturally walk with your back straight and stomach pulled in.  As walking becomes easier, you become motivated to walk more.

     The shoes are in near mint condition.  The uppers have no defects or major blemishes;  if you look really closely, you can find light scuffs on the toe guards.  No noticeable wear on soles or heels, less than 1%.
