About Us

Lucy’s Garage is a consignment service located in the suburbs of Chicago. Most of our consignors are local to our area, but there are a few out of state as well. Currently we have over 600 unique consignors whose items we sell, meaning there are many different tastes and styles to offer our buyers!

We take pride in handpicking only the best items to offer for sale, and try to take the utmost care when describing any and all flaws. Our policy is always to under promise and over deliver. With this being said, we do not always know the history of each item and whether it was always kept in a pet and smoke free home.

Shipping

We ship all items same or next business day!

Most of our items have calculated shipping, which means that they are dependent upon the buyer’s location and the size/weight of the package.

All packages with a value over $200 will require a signature confirmation. No exceptions.

We will gladly combine shipping for items that are paid for together.

We encourage local buyers to save on shipping by picking up from us directly. We are located in the Chicago suburbs. Please call or send a message for more information.

International Buyers – Please Note:

Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.

Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.

We will not mark any items as “gift” or lie on customs forms in any other way.

All international items will be sent via Priority Mail or Express Mail.

We DO NOT offer First Class or Parcel Post for international orders.

Illinois residents must pay 8.5% sales tax. We are sorry for any inconvenience, but since we are an established business entity, we must collect tax.

Payment

Lucy’s Garage requires payment to be made within 2 days of purchase, unless arrangements have been made prior to purchase.  After the 2nd day, Lucy’s Garage reserves the right to open an unpaid item case.

Our preferred method of payment is PayPal.

We will not complete a transaction if your PayPal payment is not eligible for seller protection.

If you plan to do a local pick up from our office, please be advised that we will only accept payment in person.

Returns

You have up to 30 days to return an item.

If you are returning an item, please let us know ASAP.

All items must be returned in the same condition that they were sent. If the item has been worn or altered in any way, the item will not be eligible to for return.

Please be advised, that some wearable items may come with a security band attached and will not be eligible for a refund if it is removed.

All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee, unless it is the error of Lucy’s Garage.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to make sure the item size is correct. If you require additional measurements, please ask prior to purchase. We encourage you to take a similar item in your closet that has a fit you like, and compare measurements.

If the item does not fit properly, it will be subject to a 20% restocking fee.
