Description Here we have a nice example of antique Chinese export porcelain dating from the reign of the emperor 雍正帝 Yonzheng (1722 -35) in the Qing dynasty 清代, in the early 18th century.
This lobed elongated oval or silver shape spoon tray is superbly hand painted in underglaze blue with a scene showing two Chinese figures in a landscape. One person is leaning over a willow tree in conversation with the other, in the background is a fence and pagoda. The tray has an unglazed base and a half flower cartouche and herring bone diaper border. There are painted floral sprigs around the outer edge.
The spoon tray measures a little under 5 inches long by 3 1/8th inches and stands 3/4 inch high. It weighs 64g unpacked and is in good antique condition with three stress cracks from the rim and slight chipping around the rim - commensurate with age and use.
This is a great item for any collector of Chinese export porcelain and a rare find. Please take a look at my other antique Chinese porcelain listed for sale this week from the same collection.
