Here we have a highly collectable medium size teapot dating, we think, from around 1940 and made from continental porcelain. It was made by the highly regarded Danish factory of Royal Copenhagen and decorated with hand painting in underglaze blue in the Half Lace design, pattern number 609 . There is a small moulded tortoise on the top of the handle, The body is decorated with a fluted design which is also on the moulded spout. It has the printed green Royal Copenhagen makers mark which was introduced in 1923 and also the wavy blue water mark. Both the lid and body are marked. The teapot is 7 1/2" long and stands 5" high. It weighs 475g unpacked. Condition is good Handle to lid damaged and repaired. The base of the handle has a crack. Please see the photographs and description.

Here we have a relatively rare, highly collectable, antique small size teapot dating, from the last quarter of the 18th century ( XVIIIe siècle ), from around 1785. It is made from continental European porcelain. It was manufactured by the highly regarded French factory of Andre Marie Leboeuf, of Fabrique de la Reine ( Manufacture de la Reine), Rue Thiroux, Paris, France.

This factory enjoyed the patronage of Queen Marie Antoinette from 1776, and were one of nine factories which allowed them to decorate porcelain by a decree 16 May 1784. Until then the Sevres Porcelain Factory had exclusive rights for producing polychrome decoration and gilding The tea pot is decorated with a hand painted and gilded pattern in green with pink Sevres Roses, pattern number 10.

The handle to the lid is a moulded crabstock or branch and there are low relief moulded flowers around the top of the lid. These flowers have been gilded.   The body is of a tapering globular shape with an ornate moulded rococo scroll spout and twisted or entwined handle design. 

  It is marked on the base with a red hand painted A, 10 and decorators mark ". For more information on this factory see the Directory of European Porcelain by Ludwig Danckert. 

The teapot is 6 1/2 inches long, body diameter of 3 5/8 inches and stands 4 inches high. It weighs 262g unpacked.

Condition: Good antique condition, The spout has been broken and reglued, Handle to lid reglued. The base of the handle has a hairline. Minor wear to the gilding. Please see the photographs and description.
