Gorgeous little motorcycle......rarely seen

measures appx. 5 inches length

very old model from around 1930's....possibly BMW ?

original base plate is marked "Germany"

front fork/wheel turns as desired 

tinplate bike,with great colour scheme in burgundy/silver

vintage motorcycle with internal clockwork/wind-up mechanism

all the usually missing (or replaced)  parts seem to have survived....including the original headlamp,handlebars,luggage rack,saddle,shift knob,front & rear licence plates....main wheels and even the two tiny "jockey wheels". 

 the mechanism can be seen inside,but is not currently working; the spring etc...looks to be accessible by removing base plate(there appears to be 6 underside tabs,with 2 more either missing or folded under?).....base plate is nice and secure

condition of the bike appears original without re-paint or touch up....colour and litho still looks fine(may even clean up?)...just natural aged appearance over some 80-90 years,scuffs.scratch,marks etc...not rotten.
