LOMO Compact Automatic Machine (LC-A, LC-A) is a compact small-format camera of scale type with automatic exposure control in the program automatic mode. Thanks to the peculiarities of this camera, a modern line of amateur photography has appeared, called "lomography". The first Soviet compact camera that does not need a case [1].
The camera is equipped with an automatic electronic shutter-diaphragm controlled by an exposure meter with an external CdS photodetector [2].
The camera features a durable plastic case with metal shutters closing with a high-aperture lens and viewfinder, lightness and compactness, as well as ease of use.
The model for designing was the Japanese camera "Cosina CX-2" [3].
Modifications: LOMO Compact-M (LOMO Compact +).
Photoapparat "LOMO Compact-Automatic" was issued in different design options.

The type of photographic material used is perforated film 35 mm wide (film type 135) in standard cassettes. The size of the frame is 24 × 36 mm.
The case is a compact plastic. The lens and viewfinder in the transport position are covered with metal curtains, the shutter release button is locked and the power is turned off.
