GERALD THURSTON LIGHTOLIER MODERN MARBLE & BRASS TABLE LAMP ROBSJOHN GIBBINGS HANSEN NEW YORK 1950's
  • DESIGN:  A minimal yet striking Modern Minimalist sculptural Marble & Brass table lamp designed by Gerald Thurston and manufactured by Lightolier lighting circa 1950's. This classic design is almost identical to Hansen's Brass base Gibbings' design but its' stunning multi faceted Marble base and 3-way socket w/diffuser shade assembly take this fine specimen to an even higher level of sophistication and elegance. Topped with a contemporary off white Linen shade & acrylic diffuser assembly with original brass finial creating a distinquished visual statement that compliments the sculptural essence of the base beautifully. This is an extremely rare find due to its short lived production run and you would likely not even find another example for sale much less one this fine...it does not get any better!
  • CONDITION:  This unique Thurston design lamp is in exceptional original condition, completely intact and fully functional.  No obvious signs of wear or blemishes to the Marble or Brass with only faint surface wear and tarnish patina to the brass. Original wiring, sockets and 3-way pull chain switch have been inspected and appear to be clean and safe. The off-white Linen shade and high quality translucent acrylic diffusers are refabrications of the originals and an essentially perfect compliment to the sophisticated minimalist base.
  • DIMENSIONS:  The lamps general dimensions are 29" tall with a general width of 7.5" to the Marble base,  the shade is 18" wide X 8" high…bulbs are NOT included.
