DESCRIPTION
This auction is for a Road Legends/Yat Ming 1953 FORD F-100 pickup in 1:18th scale. This high quality replica features the standard cab. Road Legends models feature solid detail and value. The truck is mint in it's original box. The box shows shelf wear with scuffs, sticker residue and some yellowing. Please see the photos. Be sure to check out the correct interior with a black bench seat and chrome window cranks. Open the hood to find an orange engine block and gold/chrome air intake. Road Legends even got the black running boards right. The 1953 F-100 was the last year for the flathead engine in the US. Models in Canada, however, (Mercury M-Series), retained the flathead. 1953-54 saw the introduction of the new 239 CID overhead valve Y-block V8, dubbed "Power King." The six-cylinder engine's displacement was also increased from 215 to 223 CID and power steering was introduced as an option. In 1954 the 239 Y-block was replaced with the 279 and 317.
