You are looking at an Antique circa 1860's Flattop probably Kestner German China head. She is a very high quality china. Her shoulder head is in excellent condition with no  cracks, chips, hairlines, repaints or repairs. It has a three sew holes front and back. Very fine quality china , wonderful sloping shoulders . Lovely patina no scruffs , small mold dot over left eyebrow., Rt side shoulder plate two minuscule ones on the back and factory mold done spot near back sew hole . She has red dots in her nostrils, red lines over her eyes, super rosy cheeks , slight smile, scalp line center, hair visible , banana curls around her head .

Her shiny patina is magnificent. When I got her years ago she was very, very dusty, dirty and I believe it preserved her. No odors.

She measures with my tape from feet to top of her head center about 30 inches long . Her head circumference is about 12 inches around and her shoulder plate end to end is about 8 inches front to back 8 inches.

Her body is old and in excellent condition I believe the torso is straw and the legs feel like batting . Her arms and hands look replaced I LOVE her hands Open palm and so soothing to look at.Elegant.Body pretty clean no odors. Very heavy China and I have her displayed on a chair because her head is so heavy .Hate to take a chance these large china are hard to find in my world undamaged because they can fall over . I play it safe.

Her ensemble here is the story she was very dirty, dusty  I thought I could clean the petticoat and bloomers which I did they came out good. The dress skirt and jacket old material but filthy. I stored them to look for another outfit.

One day I thought as every doll person usually does= No guts No Glory try to save them. Fabulous old velvet , lace and embroidered material . I used BIZ known for working on everything usually and I rely  on it because it is considered good for cleaning old material nothing harsh .(Its been around I think since what 1900's) After numerous soaks , dips etc etc , Voila I love it . It matches her eyes I have to say it looks very good .Front panel sew repair. Rt side panel some foxing brown but she displays beautifully .I am not a sewer.

The jacket is lined excellent . Lace is lovely some holes but not bad , Blouse is how it came as well as the skirt pinned on .The velvet smooth I steamed it came out smooth and soft .No one was more surprised than me .She is an unusual china and hard to photograph her coloring is brilliant yet subtle. Shipping will be free  I insure and send Priority .email me any questions. These Dolls are from my personal collection I have been working with dolls since 1986   Thanks Deirdre

Her height of the shoulder plate from the bottom of the shoulderplate to the forehead hairline  is 7 inches . To the center of her scalp height is 9 inches

There are no scratches on her cheek that is glare from the light photographing . Tks d
