A beautiful Anglo Indian/Ceylon silver snuff box. It is unmarked but tests as high grade silver and dates to c1900’s. It is of a oval form with a hinged lid. It has been beautifully hand embossed and chased with a flower design and unusually with gilded highlight and birds to its base. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, possibly a little repair to base but most likely how it was made. All the detailing is crisp and the inside clean. It measures over 2 inches (5.5cms) long by a touch less front to back and weighs weighs 24 grams. A beautiful high quality example.
