- This is the type Roller Skates I used in the 1940's!
- Has the original leather around the toe of one skate (picture #3)
- This leather is missing from the other so someone added an extra leather strap (picture #8)
- Adjust the length with nut on the bottom side to fit almost any kid's foot/shoe
- The original leather strap fits around the ankle
- The metal wheels are very nostalgic for me as my Mom would sometimes let us skate indoors on our tile floors - before she put the shiny wax finish on the floor. Great on rainy or snowy days.
- Sometimes we would get to take our skates to school and skate on the cement floor in the old school building basement.
- The skate metal tops read "JC Higgins" "No. 2361"
- "SOLD ONLY BY SEARS, ROEBUCK & CO."
The skates are vintage condition with wear (please view the pictures). As mentioned, the leather toe strap is missing. The wheels are rotating just fine!
