This is one of the so-called "Tomioka Planar" lenses with optics produced by the Tomioka corporation (later part of Kyocera/Yashica) in a formula similar ot that of the famous Zeiss Planar designs. As such, it is extremely sharp with great OOF rendering.
This is the rare Multicoated version of the lens, which is much harder to find than the standard single coated version.
This lens features the extremely versatile Pentax/Praktica m42
screw mount, which is adaptable to almost any digital format, including
Nikon, Canon EF, m4/3, SOny A7/Nex, and m4/3 through the use of
inexpensive adapter rings.
Excellent used condition light exterior wear (see pics) and perfect mechanics. A couple of very faint cleaning marks on front and rear elements. No deep scratches/haze/or fungus.
