display is easier to read in sunlight than the Garmin 296. The

Like all of Garmin's aviation portables, the
GPS 96C
provides advanced navigation capabilities in the air on the road or
water. It features a built-in basemap depicting highways, major roads,
lakes, rivers, railways and state and national borders as well as
licenced airport runway and radio frequency information. You can
customise the
GPS 96C screen displays setting them up just as you
like, with ETA, ground speed and distance to go displayed or perhaps,
sunset, ETI, and course to steer, its your choice. The
GPS 96C also features a built in electronic flight computer to speed up the flight planning process.
