A rare and genuine antique item of automobilia in very nice condition. NOT a replica: this is a genuine, circa 1910 mascot.

It was sold to me as a bust of Atleta, but I've been unable to throw any light on who Atleta may have been, other than the Spanish for "athlete", which does not seem particularly appropriate to this little sculpture. Thanks to helpful eBay member stevencath, I know know that this is the Greek goddess Athena, and can see that it was probably based on a 5th Century BC Greek coin, which you can see here:
