Vintage Men’s Avirex B3 Shearling Sheepskin Aviator Bomber Flight Flying Brown Leather Jacket L

The shearling lined B-3 sheepskin bomber jacket was designed and first manufactured in the 1940’s to help pilots endure the extreme cold experienced in the cockpit. This is a vintage Avirex shearling jacket using the same original B-3 styling. Made in the USA.

This is a heavy duty thick sheepskin jacket approx 2.6kg in weight, with a soft shearling sheepskin pile fleece, guaranteed to help keep you warm. This very cool quality classic has a great rugged broken in appearance. The leather on this jacket has a lovely aged time worn patina.

Used and in fair to good vintage condition with signs of wear and abrasion throughout. There is a red tinge on the sheepskin throughout the jacket. Also some of the sheepskin has worn away on the right inner cuff and at some of the seams. Please see all pictures.

Size: The label is 42 and I would class as L (UK sizing) with a 49” full external chest measurement and the overall fit - but it depends how loose you like to wear. Please note this has thick sheepskin internally and you need to allow room for movement (please see below for all key measurements to check against a similar garment of your own to ensure a good fit).

- 2 lower welt pockets

- Avirex branded buckles

- 1 metal buckle and leather belt strap at both side seams to adjust the hem fit

- 2 metal buckles and leather belt straps at the collar

- Cuffs can be worn up to show the sheepskin
