Production stopped during the Soviet period.

Been used mainly with "heavy" diving equipment, so-called a ventilated equipment.

Characteristics of Knife:

Nonmagnetic version of the knife "NVU-AM" (НВУ-АМ - a diving knife universal - antimagnetic) 

with a blade made of a non-magnetic alloy.

To protect the hand with a hard work, a small symmetrical cross is provided.

Hand horsewhip, made of plastic. It has a spindle-shaped shape, for greater reliability 

of the grip on its surface, ring-shaped protrusions are made. Massive steel pommel 

allows you to use the knife as a hammer.

The knife of the NVU-AM has a negative buoyancy, more simply, it sinks.

But, drowning and reaching the bottom, becomes in the vertical position 

on the ground with the handle up, which facilitates its search under the water in case of loss.

Sheaths are plastic, with the possibility of two-point attachment to the shin or forearm. 

In the sheath, the NVU-AM is secured with a rubber lining to the handle. 

This method of fastening reduces the time of extraction of the knife, 

but also virtually eliminates the possibility of losing it.
