Eddy Merckx (5 time champion)

  Where to start?  To a very real extent, Merckx’s five Tour victories, extraordinary in their number, margin and variety as they are, are the least of it.  I think a case could be made that Eddy Merckx was the greatest endurance athlete of the 20th century.  Sprinter, time trialist, climber, well’ard, he had it all.  His first Tour victory came in 1969.  At just 24yrs old, he won all the available jerseys: GC, Sprint, KoM, and that awarded to the most combative rider.  Had it been available he would also have won the White Jersey traditionally awarded to the highest placed rider younger than 25yrs.  This is the only time one rider has won all the available jerseys in a Tour de France.  He won the GC with a margin of 17mins54seconds. Shirts are produced to order so we have all the sizes in all the colours illustrated. The design is applied at a resolution of between 300 and 800 dpi in proportion to the size of the shirt - the design on an extra small shirt is about 20% smaller than the design on an extra large shirt. The decorated shirts are completely colourfast and will not shrink. They are made of a high quality and highly technical wicking polyester. The two "Phenom" shirts are made of an expensive microfibre that has one of the fastest drying performance of any fabric available. These shirts make an excellent base layer in any multi layered clothing system but also make a great outer layer when things are warm.
