Your 3G or 4G Internet connection relies on clear transmission of very low power radio signals. Location, building position and structure can often interfere with the signal strength causing interruptions and reductions in service.
This antenna may optimise performance by improving the antenna position, giving a more uniform signal pattern. This antenna may improve the stability of your Internet connection. This antenna may improve download speeds. This antenna provides a gain of 3db in optimal circumstances.
Lots of factors can affect the performance of the antenna, such as:
1. Network coverage of Telstra (check the network coverage map from Telstra) which in the real world is not uniform, it is patchy and can fluctuate,
2. How far away from the transmitter you are located,
3. Obstructions such as buildings,hills, metallic objects blocking or interfering with the signal,
4. Whether it is used indoors or outdoors,
5. Extensions cables can reduce the gain of the antenna,
6.The construction of the building (brick,cement,stone buildings reduce signal strength;
Other factors.
Not suitable for all areas.
Please note that the Telstra 4G network relies on MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output ) technology and two antennas must be used on each antenna port of the modem where the device has two antenna ports. You also need to be in the 4G Telstra Network Area (See Telstras mobile broadband coverage map)
