Here we have an opportunity for someone to own a rare 428 CJ, Cobra Jet FE Engine from intake to oil pan.  This engine was just pulled from a ’68 Shelby KR and only removed due to the restoration putting the correct date coded engine into the car.   This 428 CJ engine would be ideal for a 1969 Ford Shelby, Mach 1, Torino or Fairlane.  The date codes are from late ’68 and would go in a 1969 model year car if that is important to you.  Of course, this could be used for many other applications.

The intake is C80E-9425-C with date code of 8J13.  The Block has the “C” Casting Stamp and it is hard to read the date code but appears to be 8K6 or 9K6.  The Cobra Jet Heads have dates on the left-hand side of 8K12 and the right-hand side 8K3 but looks like 9K3.  The timing cover is C8AE-6059-B and ’69 date code. 

Although the engine previously ran well it should be gone through.  What you see is what you get.  Obvious items needed to complete the engine would be the carburetor, distributor, value covers, exhaust manifolds, fuel pump and water pump.

This Engine is very heavy and we would prefer to have this item picked up here and save you a lot on packaging/shipping/insurance charges.
