The RMS Titanic set sail on her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York on 10th April 1912 with 2,223 people on board.

Four days later at 23:40 she struck an iceberg and sank at 02:20 the following morning with the loss of 1,517 lives.

You may be watching the latest TV re-enactment of the TITANIC story written by the "Downton Abbey" writer Julian Fellowes. This would make a wonderful reminder of the series.
