MODEL SUMMARY. Very rare and special 3200GT Assetto Corsa of which 75 UK examples were built, and all individually numbered, this one being number 27. Assetto Corsa roughly translated means 'track handling' and the model had a factory sports suspension package incorporating uprated/larger anti-roll bars, -15mm lowered and stiffer springs, and electronically adjustable damping. The steering rack was modified, and the braking system uprated with enhancements to the servo, revised Pagid racing pads, and red calipers. The interior trim was unique with black Connelly hide, sporting red stitching, carbon fibre inlays and addenda, and detail touches such as the numbered plaque, Assetto Corsa insignia sill kick plates and aluminium racing pedals. The model was the swansong to the 3200GT's production run, prior to the introduction of the less charismatic 4200GT, but had so much more than just a few cosmetic tweaks, with significant engineering, braking and handling modifications that really set it apart from the standard car, and it is these key differences that will ensure it's future desirability, collectability and residual value .
This particular car is in wonderful condition, and totally fit and healthy. The 370bhp Bi-Turbo V8 has real grunt and offers tremendous performance when the turbos boost up, whilst all the time emitting a thunderous V8 wail in a way that only very special cars like this can. The service history is exceptional, with a recent cambelt service, and subsequent service further to that, all carried out by franchised Maserati dealers, or knowledgeable independents. Tyres have been recently replaced, and are expensive Michelin Pilot Sports. No expense has been spared in maintaining this car correctly.
So to summarise, a beautiful example of a beautiful and special car. It's hard to imagine what else could be purchased at this price level that stirs the emotions, and offers such pride of ownership.

About Us
Welcome to Sargents of Sussex. Established in early 1994, we traded, and were known as D.J. Sargent of Copthorne for 17 years, building a solid reputation, through 1000s of sales, for supplying high quality vehicles, with an honest and dependable approach. In May 2011, we relocated from our native Copthorne to the beautiful rural countryside in the heart of ‘1066 Country’ between historic Battle and picturesque Rye in East Sussex. Our trading name changed accordingly but our business remains the same. Our focus is very much on providing properly prepared and presented high quality motor cars, and we continue to do this as we have for the last 18 years.
Sargents of Sussex is run by Damon Sargent. A lifelong enthusiast, motor cars were instilled in his blood from a long family background of motor and mechanical engineers. After seventeen years the business continues to run with an enthusiasm and integrity that is higher than ever, with according specialist knowledge of the stock. We pride ourselves on a 'traditional values' approach to our customers and will always make every effort to resolve any issues, should they arise. Indeed, we value repeat business very highly and are delighted to say that many customers return because they have determined to buy only from us.
We will often endeavour to source vehicles of a more interesting nature and we have sold numerous Ferrari, Porsche and AMG Mercedes, BMW M3/M5, Lotus Elise, Subaru Impreza and Mitsubishi Evolution. Many more ‘niche’ market vehicles have also passed through our hands, Lotus Carlton, Sierra RS500 Cosworth, Noble, TVR and many older classics.
Our core business concentrates on high quality, late registered 'mainstream' vehicles, often still within the manufacturer’s warranty period. Products from Audi, BMW, Ford, Honda, Mercedes and Mini, to name but a few, are typical.
Based in East Sussex between Battle and Rye, we are surprisingly accessible being just 5 minutes from the A21, and a little over 30 minutes south of M25 Junction 5 for customers travelling from the motorway network. Major routes serving the A21 such as the A229, A259 (and A27) ensure easy accessibility for all of Kent and East Sussex, and the South Coast.
We offer viewing seven days a week with plenty of flexibility on hours. Viewings are strictly by appointment only however.
The Sargent family have been involved in the motor trade for a great many years now. The great grandfather of Damon Sargent, Henry James Sargent, began trading, in East Grinstead, in the early 1920's and built a successful business, Sargents of East Grinstead Ltd., which remained for 60 years until finally closed in the early 1980's. We are proud to follow in the family tradition.
As licensed credit brokers we offer full finance arrangement facilities.
We welcome part exchanges, both cars and motorcycles, up or down.
