Montane Extreme Jacket 2012 Features: Active cut with drop tail for butt protection and unrestricted leg movement, Soft micro fleece lined bearguard collar for comfort and warmth next to your face, Two zipped, mesh lined, hand-warmer pockets positioned high above rucksack hip belt or climbing harness for easy access, Two-way front zip with hook and loop storm baffle.  Since this two way zip can be undone from the bottom, the jacket can be worn over a climbing harness. Zipped chest pocket,  Part elasticated Velcro adjustable cuffs with pull tabs for ease of use when wearing gloves or mitts. Reinforced elbows and forearms. Reinforced with Polardri Mini Rip: this fabric is waterproof to prevent your forearms taking on water when resting on a wet surface. The arms are shaped for high reach movement and the jacket is designed to give minimal hem lift. Glove attachment loops on forearms.  Single hand adjustable elasticated draw-cord for hem keeps snow or drafts out whilst keeping heat in. MONTANE® Cross-Vent system with mesh vented side pockets.  Two-way baffled side vents.  Warm, removable hood lined with thick Pile insulation. The hood is large enough to fit over a climbing helmet and is fully specified with a wired peak, volume adjuster and non whip pull cords which can be adjusted with one hand. Reflective logos and zip garages for safety on roads and mountains. Breathable to 98% - Better than a cotton t-shirt. Water repellent. High Wind resistance: 5 cubic feet per minute. Warm when wet. Quick drying. Washing Instructions: Machine wash in warm water at 40 C/104 F with mild soap. MONTANE® recommends Nikwax Tech Wash. To reproof the Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish of the outer Pertex fabric always use a spray and NEVER wash in reproofer.  It is important not to get any DWR coating on the thick Pile insulation as this will interfere with the ability of the fabric to wick away your body moisture.
