The Box of Rock from Z Vex Effects is a distortion pedal with a highly specialized circuit designed to emulate the sound of a classic Marshall JTM 45 tube amplifier with its volume on ''11''. It's a dynamic pedal and you can use your guitar's volume knob to control the amount of distortion you need. Just roll back for cleans and roll up for a killer overdrive | distortion. The ZVex Box Of Rock has one ''Distortron Engine'' stomp switch- You read that correctly- Distorton is what Zack Vex calls his distortion circuit. The Box of Rock also contains an extremely high-headroom, unity-to-50X gain booster with nominal input impedance and low hiss. This is pretty much the same boost circuit used in the popular Z Vex SHO Super Hard On boost pedal.
