| This optical slave trigger provides a safe, "wireless" way, to trigger your off-camera flash, including MOST modern digitals.
The sensor has a male pc (Prontor Compur) socket to enable connection to your flash directly. If your flash does not have a suitable female PC port, it can also be mounted on a female pc to hot shoe adapter:

The approximate range is about 75 ft (22m) or more, depending on the guide number of the Master flash.
This slave will fire your remote flash once light is received from the on-camera master flash. It works best in an indoor environment as bright sunlight reduces the range. It requires no additional power. Estimated fastest shutter speed : 1/200s. This optical sensor accepts trigger voltages up to a MAXIMUM of 100 VOLTS DC.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
1. Any optical slave can be fooled into early triggering if your Master flash produces a "pre-flash" for red-eye reduction, for example. In many cases, this "pre-flash" can be turned off, thereby avoiding the problem.
2. This latest Sonia sensor is designed to work with a wide range of analog and digital flashes, including Canon EZ and EX models.
Please note that multiple flashes CANNOT be triggered in parallel using one sensor only. They require one sensor for each flash unit.
