Metal lunch boxes are generally a thing of the past. However, there are still some cool companies keeping the product line alive. They have great nostalgic value, even with new school franchises on them. We are huge fans of unique lunch boxes. School is boring enough for the kids, and vinyls and zippers leave much to be desired for the lunch hour. What's great about these, is that they have flexible uses for the kids. Lunches, art supplies, toys, or pretty much anything -- it's great for the kids to have something to tote their goodies around in. A neat product from the past, living a second life. However, one thing to keep in mind is the size. Take a look at the dimensions, they are a tad smaller than the true metal lunchboxes from the past. They are still adequate for a sandwich, a Capri Sun, a string cheese, and some veggies though. The size is a plus for the kids though. They fit nicely in kid's backpacks. They are no more expensive than other lunch bags and they have a serious cool factor going for them. A neat purchase for sure.
