Testing the waters to see how much money is out there for my 2001 Custom Boss Hoss "502 Cubic Inch" Show Bike. This bike Starts, Runs, Shifts and Stops like a brand new bike, because it is brand new! Only 850 Miles! All electric components work as they should including the turn signals and brake lights. The gas gauge, speedometer and all other gauges work. The engine is sealed like a brand new bike with no leaks, drips or seapage. This bike sits for weeks at a time and I turn the gas on, Pump the throttle 3 times, hit the start button and it idles immediately for me to put my helmet and glasses on. Every time I'm done riding I turn the gas off and let it run out of gas so I never gum up the Carbs. Get this, it was owned by a billionaire (Al Copeland, founder of Popeyes, Copelands and Cheesecake Factory restaurants) who had the largest collection of Boss Hoss's anywhere. He tried to buy the Boss Hoss company in the early millennium. When the deal fell through he bought a bunch from the company and took all of the emblems off and uniquely customized each one that he owned. (I have put the emblems back on). They were never driven, but maintained for every bike event that ever happened. He would ship the bikes and fly his friends in to ride at these events. Every bike he owned at the time of my purchase had less than 1500 original miles on them and all were stored in a temperature controlled showroom museum at Copelands Racing. Mine has a little over 850 original miles. My bike was painted with 8 different candy colors. The paint shines beautifully and is flawless with no scratches or blemishes. The color scheme was designed to match his world record speed boat called "Phenomenon" that set the water speed record at the time of 193.7 m.p.h. This year his son is going to try and break the record in the same boat (see pic below of me in front of it, wont blow up but it's in the selection at top if you scroll). She's Like Brand New and the race team (Copeland Racing) that owned her new exactly how to regularly maintain this bike whether it needed it or not. I have many pics from my trip to Louisiana to pick it up that tell the entire story and history of this bike and the man who made history who has now passed.
