Teal Breeze
Up for bid is this delicious teal colored chime measuring 32“ long (of which 4“ is the silver colored chain and loop hanger) and about 6“ wide at its widest point.
There are a total of 17 glass lines and 77 glass pieces.
The top is a scalloped teal glass compote measuring about 4-½” tall and 5-½” in diameter. Teal glass is very hard to find and I was lucky to run across this in my searching.
I’ve used a luscious assortment of glass to compliment the compote top….a dainty teal floral, teal ripple, white wispy, and a clear “mosaic” textured glass.
A super fine assortment of beads were used to match the glass…crystal clear teardrops, iridized clear flowers and hearts, iridized teal Swarovski roundels, teal Swarovski bicones, iridized crystal clear bicones, faux white Swarovski glass pearls, teal crackles, teal seeds, and white baby glass pearls…all the very finest beads used. I also included some crystal clear octagons sprinkled throughout for some extra dazzle!
The wind sail at the very bottom is a dramatic 2” teal and clear pear shaped crystal (very hard to find) surrounded by four 1-½” clear pear shaped crystals. This chime really puts on a light show!
I cut, grind/shape, drill holes and string it all together with Beadalon stainless steel jewelry wire and gold plated crimp beads.
My name and date are etched in one of the glass pieces in the center line.
Photos were taken both outside and in my indoor studio to give you an idea of the different colors the glass emits under different light conditions.
All of my chimes are truly OOAK (one of a kind) and the only one in the world like it.
