These emulators are built for the professional and are very useful when it comes to SRS / Airbags troubleshooting, testing the system is working by enabling you to simulating the resistance of a faulty or missing device to ensure the system is fully functional, making troubleshooting a lot more easier and accurate, avoiding the expense of purchasing unnecessary parts.

This emulator will enable you to simulate different resistances inc simulating a short circuit, no need to disconnect srs assist emulator, just turn the knob to “0” ohms, whilst watching the ohms live data on your compatible diagnostic scanner change, proving the wiring and the SRS ECU are OK.

This emulator helps with diagnostics on airbag systems, if you don't know the resistance you need to bypass a part "A MUST HAVE for all Garages & Auto electricians worldwide"

SRS-ASSIST Mk 2 has the same proven quality resistance circuitry as in our previous model. The NEW Mk2 with Built in Self Test and Light Source functions, that are operated by two push button switches, this means the power supply is TOTALLY isolated from the main resistance circuit, making this unit impossible to cause damage to the vehicle ECU.

The emulator's resistance circuit can be used with or without batteries. We incorporated the self test function so you can check the fuse & continuity of the emulator circuit is fully functional before use, as there is nothing worse than not knowing if your equipment is working or not.

We have also incorporated a very bright LED light source for those dark and difficult to see places. The self test and light source functions are no gimmick, they have a very pracitical function, if you think about it.

This emulator has 11 different resistances plus "0" ohms that can be chosen, by turning the selector knob.

The self test function can be accessed by pressing and holding down the self test button (on the top right hand side of the unit) this firstly checks that the fuse is ok. Whilst still holding down the self test button and turning the selector knob through all the resistance values the led will illuminate every time you select a different resistance (approx 7 Lumen 1/2 power for longer battery life), this will test the resistance circuits for continuity between 0.0 to 6.8 Ohms including the switch.

The LED light source (approx 14 lumen very bright light) function can be accessed by clicking on and off, the light source button on the left hand side of the unit.

SPECIFICATIONS:
We have designed the selector knob to rotate continuously 360° clockwise or anticlockwise 0 - 0 Ω this way you can select any resistance easier.

• All resistances are .25 watt ¼ watt + / - 3% tolerance.

• Self test push switch press and hold/ON release/OFF. Self test function powered by 1/2 power = 3 volts.
  
• Light source switch Click ON/OFF. Led light source powered by full power = 6 volts. 
• Ultra Bright LED light source providing approx 14 Lumen. Long Life LED approx 8000 Hrs.
  
• Case material ABS Plastic, dimensions are approximately 75mm x 48mm x 27 mm + 13mm knob.

NOTE:
If the yellow pin wires are lengthened then the resistance tolerance will change, please remember this if you decide to check the srs assist unit using a good quality ohms meter, make sure your meter ZERO's, do not use the meter probe leads, just plug in the 2 leads directly from the srs assist unit into your ohms meter as the leads on your meter have a resistance, this means you will not read the srs assist units true readings.

SAFETY:
This Model has NO BATTERIES or power source, this means you never have a flat battery during use, also it will be impossible for this unit to cause any damage by sending power to an ecu or other part during diagnosis.

PRECAUTIONS:
Never make any measurement directly on air bag module(s) or seat belt tensioners. A fault in these components is determined by a process of elimination using a Resistance Emulator. To avoid accidental air bag deployment when trouble shooting SRS, DO NOT use self-powered electrical test equipment, such as battery-powered or AC-powered voltmeter, ohmmeter, etc. when air bag module(s) or seat belt tensioners are connected to SRS.
