This is an original scarce 1935 First Edition Billy Rose's Jumbo Program / Show Book from The New Hippodrome Theatre in New York, starring Jimmy Durante and Paul Whiteman and his Orchestra Libretto by Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur. 28 pages. Color front cover art by Henry Clive, who also did the back cover in colors promoting Texaco Fire-Chief radio program which followed-on adventures of the stage show. Other artists in this program include John Groth and Wynn. The large program guide to this elaborate Billy Rose show includes equestrian, acrobatic and aerial ballets by Allan K. Foster, costumes designed by Raoul Pene du Bois. Show loosely based on the life of Jumbo the elephant sold to the P. T. Barnum circus in 1882 and died in a tragic accident in Canada.

Condition: Very good, clean condition with no markings or stains.  Softcover, staple binding with no tears, binding tight, edges have minimal wear. Covers have light soiling. See pictures.
