Rare antique exquisite Renaissance Revival curule bench stool made of solid rosewood, very sturdy and in excellent condition. The seat still has the original needlepoint with minor signs of wear. A curule bench typically has "X" shaped legs with a connecting rod stretcher which is based on chair designs from the Roman times reserved for people of high stature. Please see photos for details.
