1966 Ford F-100 Custom Cab
I have decided to sell my personal daily driver. I have bought, restored and sold these trucks for 25 years and this one is my personal truck. this truck is built to be dependable, comfortable, economical and completely driveable. I drive this truck everywhere and I would not hesitate to go anywhere at any time in it period. Read through the list below and you will have an idea of what I'm talking about.
Driveability:
- Power Steering-with new Ididit billit steering column with tilt steering, canceling turn signals.
- New worm gear steering box
- Complete rebuilt front end including all new bushings, king pins and every piece of rubber, tie rods etc.
- Power Disk Brakes including new master cylinder with brake booster, new power steering hoses , new power steering pump, new rotors, calipers and brake lines.
- New body bushings (this takes all the squeaks out of the ride)
- New rebuilt rear brake drums and brakes and brake lines.
- All gauges work as they should with exception of the gas gauge that is slightly off and the speedometer is 5 mph fast.
- Insulation under the carpet and in front of the tank give this truck a quiet ride.
- Modern Stereo with kenwood speakers with remote control.
- High Definition headlights and LED tail light bulbs.
Interior:
- Factory seat recovered that has a crack in the drivers side (see pictures)
- Carpet is in good condition
- Dash pad is new with no cracks or fade
- New instrument cluster
- Door seals are in good condition
- Quarter window rubber is in good condition
- LED interior lights
Motor and Transmission:
- Rebuilt 302 with about 13,000 miles since rebuild
- Bottom end is all stock , new pistons, rings, rods, crank and bearings.
- Valve train is all new. cam, lifters, push rods, valve stem seals.
- Rebuilt heads.
- Edelbrock intake with 2 barrel carburetor.
- Built to be reliable as new and economical. This truck gets average 15 mpg and runs 75 mph at 2600 rpm.
- Transmission is a rebuilt C4
- Rear end is Ford 9" with 373 gear.
- Exhaust is new with flowmaster mufflers.
Body and Paint:
- This truck could use painting, it looks great from 10' away but it obviously could use a paint job. It has not concerned me enough to paint it with it being a daily driver.
- The body is in excellent shape with exceptions of rust on the front fender behind the tire on the drivers side. there is a small amount of surface rust on the side of the bed right below the chrome trim (nothing major)
- The bed has the original floor with no patching and is in good shape.
Trim:
- New grille , new headlight bezels, new side moulding, new tail light lens and bezels.
- New front bumper and the rear bumper is in good condition
Wheels and Tires
- The wheels are new Ford Rally wheels from Summit Racing with new trim rings and center caps. The front shallow caps do not fit due to the disk brake hubs. I was just going to put Torque Thrust II wheels on it soon. The tires are new with less than 2000 miles on them.
In closing this is the best driving most dependable F100 that I have ever had. Please take the time to check my feedback and you will see that my cars/trucks are exactly as described and I have never sold one where the purchaser was not completely happy.
