Amazing vintage 1970s coat. Made of a dark purple crushed velvet. Double breasted style with large lapels and patch pockets. Brass colored buttons ( one has been replaced, but it not too obvious). International Ladies Garment Workers Union label.

Condition: Fair vintage condition - shows moderate wear. There is a tear forming / fraying on the right underarm (see photo 5). The interior lining is very wrinkled, exhibits some staining, and has two holes - one in each underarm (see photos 6-8). Needs a professional dry cleaning. Nonetheless, this coat is very wearable and sure to turn heads everywhere you go. Please see all photos & click to enlarge.

Measurements: No size is marked. Estimated ladies size Medium Petite (the sleeves run on the short side). For reference, model is 5'6" and measures approx. 33/25.5/36 (not clipped, but coat fit her loosely). Please compare measurements to a coat of your own for best possible fit.

The Not So Fine Print – please read before bidding or purchasing☺ :

The buyer is responsible for reading the entire listing and viewing all photos.

Most of the items I sell are pre-owned / vintage and may exhibit light / subtle signs of normal wear unless otherwise stated. Any major flaws or issues will be noted in the listing and / or photos. Dry clean only items will likely need to be cleaned, unless otherwise stated. Items may wrinkle during shipment.

Items are sold by measurements – regardless of tagged size. Tagged sizes are only given as a general reference point and may vary greatly even within the same brand. It is the customers responsibility to check the measurements against their own clothes and ask questions before purchasing. I do my best to measure items carefully, but I am only human, measurements are approximate and may be rounded to the nearest inch or half inch. Length (especially with dresses and skirts) will be approximate as hems can be longer in back or front due to design and style.

Condition is generally listed in this order: New – Like New – Excellent – Very Good – Good – Fair – Poor. However, condition can always be a little subjective from person to person so please check all photos and read all details. Keep in mind that condition is also relative to age, in the case of rare vintage items, meaning a 40 year old coat in excellent condition will still show signs of normal wear unless otherwise stated (be reasonable).

I cannot guarantee the lifespan of any item I sell, especially used or vintage items. I cannot be held responsible for normal or excessive wear & tear resulting from the use or misuse of any item once it is in the buyer's possession. All items are sold as is.

Colors can vary slightly from monitor to monitor and person to person – I do by best to describe color accurately and make sure it is photographed well, however I can not be held responsible for slight variations or differences of opinion where color is concerned.

If a faster shipping option is needed (such as express) I must be contacted before the purchase to ensure a timely arrival.

International Customers: Shipping charges do not include potential customs fees which are the responsibility of the buyer.

All Sales Final. NO Returns (unless I make an egregious error). Feel free to ask questions – if in doubt, ask – we'll both be happier that you did! Check out my store. THANKS for your time and consideration!
