What medical information should I include?
We engrave the tag in charcoal grey, which is both fashionable and discrete.
The front of the tag can have either the Caduceus (snake and staff) symbol or the Star of Life symbol. Just let us know which one you prefer. Both are recognised around the world as international symbols for emergency medicine. Paramedics are trained to look for a bracelet or necklace with one of these medical symbols on it, should you be involved in an accident or emergency. Or go with your name for a look that's more discrete.
On the back of the tag (against your wrist), you can customise the bracelet to include personal or medical information. It's discrete, so will not be on show as you wear the bracelet, but will be available to paramedics when you need it. As a discrete medical ID, this bracelet has enough room for 1-3 conditions, your allergy, or a phone number to call in case of emergency. You have up to three lines of text -- each with 11 characters. Just send us a message along with your order to explain what you would like us to engrave.
As a starting point, most people include medical conditions that affect their airway, breathing or circulation, as well as any allergies that may explain a possible collapse.
Sizing tips
Most customers prefer to order this bracelet the same size as their wrist. The knotted clasp will allow you to adjust the sizing if you prefer to wear it a little looser. The easiest way to measure your wrist is to use a soft tape measure, and wrap it around your wrist at the widest part.
As a guideline, the average size for a teen bracelet is 6 to 6.5 inches, a women's bracelet is 7 inches, and for a men's bracelet is 8 inches. Please take care to choose the right size, however if you make a mistake, we will work with you under the terms of our Love It Guarantee to make one size adjustment.
Taking care
To keep your bracelet looking its best, just wash it gently with water, and dry with a soft cloth.
