Static single colour illumination kit for one technics SL-1200/SL-1210 series turntable, multi colour upgrades available. Very quick and simple to install with step-by-step instructions. Just remove the black plastic cover and stick the self-adhesive light strips to the chassis or upgrade to a clear plastic cover with the lighting pre-installed. All that is needed to fit the kit is a small collection of tools (screwdrivers - medium+, small -) No soldering or drilling is required to fit the kit and all required components are supplied with the kit including an internal power supply that will turn on and off with the turntable, no external plugs or wires! These kits are very efficient and generate virtually no heat so will not heat up your platter or warp your vinyl! please email for more info.

Alough some sellers of similar kits copied from xtex designs may "feel" that soldering AC mains contacts is "correct" it is totally ILLEGAL under international law and safe wiring regulations for the simple reason that a bad solder connection, failure of the power supply or lightning strike on power lines can cause the connection to unsolder and come into contact with the chassis (metal body/frame) making chassis live at mains voltage or presenting a serious fire and electric shock risk that can cause damage to property and/or loss of life. All AC mains voltages in domestic electrical appliances MUST be brought to termination under mechanical force even if they are soldered. This kit not only complies to industry regulations but also has additional safety features such as 380v INSULATED screw terminal connectors that make it impossible for mains voltages to come into contact with the chassis or internal components even if the screw terminal becomes disconnected and a thermoplastic shield in the power supply that prevents mains voltages coming into contact with the chassis in the event of PSU failure or internal fire. The kits also use ONLY electronics grade high-temperature adhesives that WILL NOT dry up or peel off under heat - unlike the green-backed household foam tape (used for hanging mirrors) and electrical insulation tape used by other sellers in their kits.
