Lego Minifigure Display Frames/Cases

Lord of the Rings - Large Middle Earth Map

(This item will come as it is seen in the main display picture with a BLACK frame and WHITE bricks, though if you would like BLACK bricks instead, please let me know)

(There are just about 112 different figures in the LOTR series, so you can fit all of them in this frame)

Description:

  • The frames themselves measure 520 x 520mm, the interior space in each is 500mm x 500mm with just under 40mm of depth for the figures to be placed.
  • I attach a hanging ring onto each of the inlays, but should you want to simply stand the frame up on a shelf etc. this is absolutely fine, the bottom is flat and you'll be able to do this if you wish.
  • Each frame consists of the following parts, all are removable, including the glass pane. The holding pins at the rear of the frame keep everything in place.

Outer Frame

Inner Frame (Allows the inlay to be placed at the back of the frame, allowing the room for the figures)

Glass Face (Protects the figures from exposure to dust)

Printed Inlay (With the bricks attached and a removable hanging ring attached to the rear)

Printed Inlay + Brick Attachment

  • Each inlay is professionally printed by my suppliers. They print the design directly onto the backboard.
  • The board used is made from a rigid foamcore based material and most certainly not card
  • I’ve found that a lot of other sellers tend to attach the display bricks straight onto card or supply a wooden backboard with an image superglued onto this, then the bricks are attached afterwards. This isn’t great as the bricks are essentially glued onto the thickness of paper and even after little use, they tend to tear away from the board.
  • The individual bricks are attached with a high quality, powerful, clear drying (and very expensive!) adhesive so they should withstand the attentions of even the youngest collectors. Though should one come off after frequent figure placement/removal, a small drop of any superglue will reattach the brick without issue.
  • Great care is taken to ensure all of the bricks attached are level, evenly spaced and in good condition. I’m only ever supplied with brand new, official, Lego bricks.

Number of Bricks/Figures Known to not Fit

  • The brick arrangement of your order will be the same as the one seen in the main display picture unless otherwise stated.
  • I can add in up to 112 bricks on each inlay, with a maximum of 8 rows and as many as 14 bricks across these rows.
  • Nine rows wouldn’t give the necessary height clearance for each figure and adding a fifteenth brick across the row would limit arm space for the figures and any accessories they may be holding, so please refrain from requesting me to add in any extra, it will not work.
  • I don’t include a ‘focal brick’ with my frames as a lot of the designs are placed in a way to avoid having to use one, but if you have your own that you want to use, the bricks are spaced at the precise distance apart for you to use yours if you wish.
  • Most standard sized figures fit within the frames, even taller ones like Marge Simpson, Hagrid and Pong Krell (Star Wars) though there are several exceptions throughout the minifigure world, the ones I have come across are as follows.

Any figure with a tail (though they will fit if the tail is removed, i.e. Itchy/Scratchy/Werewolf/Tiger Woman)

Queen Amidala (sw387) fits but you have to make use of the flexibility of the backing board

Medusa (col146 – Minifigs Series 10) This one unfortunately will not fit on one of the standard brick stands, though you can incorporate it in. Should you want to, let me know and I’ll remove the bottom left or bottom right brick in the inlay, she’ll happily sit at the base of the frame not on a brick)

Any Animal Accessory (Santas Little Helper/Snowball 2/Minifigure Series 15 Animals) Same as Medusa, you can simply put them to rest on the base of frame floor, not on a brick. Just use a spare flat brick, glue it to the frame base and use that as a display brick for any smaller animals)

Larger Figures (Large Hulk) again, Hulk fits (not so sure about others such as the Troll in LOTR or the Goblin King etc.) but only with a certain brick arrangement due to their height and you must bend the board out slightly to fit them in behind the glass. This doesn’t affect the hanging of the frame but will need to be done if you do want it in there.

Lord Business (With Cape) I haven’t found a way around this one yet, if anybody does, please get in touch!

  • Also please note that all figures holding lightsabers/staffs/guns/any accessory, will need to have them tucked in as far as possible to allow them to fit behind the glass without toppling off when you place the inlay

International Shipping Costs

  • If you’re an international customer who has purchased more than one frame, please wait for the invoice before making any kind of payment. I will apply the below postage discounts to your order manually, as eBay doesn’t take into account purchases of greater than 2 units.
  • If you make multiple orders and then make payment at the full price I’m afraid I won’t be able to refund the difference after you have realised.
  • Also please note that I will not lie on customs forms as this is ILLEGAL so please do not request that I list items as ‘gifts’ or lower the value so that you avoid import duty. I run a registered UK business and frankly don’t need the hassle should the parcels origin get investigated by customs and excise
  • The international postage costs are below

Europe (Including ROI), Greenland and Russia is £30

Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Oceania is £85

Everywhere else is £75 (US, Canada, South America, Far East, Middle East)

Problems/Disputes

  • In the unlikely event that your item arrives with you damaged or defaced in any way due to rough handling in transit, or if there is any kind of issue at all, always contact your seller first before opening a case with eBay! This should only be used as a very last resort
  • Any problem/niggle can be sorted out through good communication, so just present your issue to me politely and we will sort it out together. Customer satisfaction and good feedback is extremely important to me and I’ll do everything I can to maintain my good record, so if you have any problem whatsoever, please contact me first.

 Bespoke Requests

  • Please don't hesitate to contact me through eBay if you have any questions, or you would like to discuss any bespoke design requests, anything at all.
  • I’m a long way off from being any kind of photo-shopping wizard, but I can source and at least attempt any design you might want, nobody has been disappointed yet!
  • I add a £5 surcharge per design to any bespoke orders that relate to the 500 x 500mm frames, as this is the extra charge the printing company charges me for single unit orders.

Thanks for your time and happy collecting!
