How Kojic Acid Works

Kojic Acid, an organic compound, is proven to prevent melanin production. Kojic acid is a antioxidant and antibacterial agent produced by several species of fungi, especially Aspergillus oryzae, which has the Japanese common name koji. It primarily whitens skin including dark spots and freckles.
