Original vintage "ROYAL MAIL - A.D. 1935" poster, initialed in the plate by its artist JOHN ARMSTRONG, and printed in London circa 1935. This poster is part of a series commissioned by the G.P.O. (General Post Office) to capture in images the story of mail delivery throughout history.
As indicated above, this poster is Excellent / Very Good condition with bold and vivid colors. There is very minor surface soiling and there are tiny red dashes along the top part of the left edge that appear to be a printing defect (see second pic). Given the excellent condition of this poster, it is ready to be framed as-is with no linen backing necessary. Please examine all pictures carefully.
