A very good example of the rare 2.6 engined version of the 190. MOT to
March 2017 with a new Bosch battery with 3 year guarantee (fitted March
2016). 143800 miles showing, but there appears to have been a speedo
change at 26700 miles.
Attractive signal red paintwork in very good overall condition - small
blemishes by the radiator grille and rear numberplate; scratch to
offside rear door, but not rusty. Cloth trim in good order, no wear to
driver's seat bolster.
Has its full book pack and wallet with handbook, dealer list etc and
service book stamped at the following mileages: 1095, 7433, 14682,
20368, 26288 - speedo change, so the following are with the new unit
7011, 12212, 17736 (all done by the original supplying Mercedes dealer);
31903 (Mercedes), 42814, 51283, 65510, 73444, 82103, 89502, 23/6/97
(mileage not recorded), 102836, 115147, 119489, 129482, 132598, 139465.
No warning lights on the dash, air con seems Ok, sunroof tilts and
slides and doesn't leak, offside rear window not working, could do with a
replacement gear knob and wood trim around the gearlever - easily found
through breakers. Heater fan noisy on faster speeds. Driver's door support needs adjusting as it doesn't open fully. 190 and 2.6 badges not fitted, but I still have them.
All in all, a good sound car to use and improve. No part exchanges thanks as I've now bought a Golf GTi.
The car can be viewed in Ledbury or Malvern, both are within easy reach of the M5 and M50.

You are encouraged to come and view the car. You are politely reminded that your bid is binding and if you win it, you are expected to buy it, not to come and haggle at the end of the auction. I am not a mechanic and the information here is given in good faith. The successful bidder will be required to pay £100 by paypal at the end of the auction, the balance in cash upon collection which needs to be within 7 days of the auction end.
