Fantastic antique, from the Art Nouveau period, Austrian 800 silver enameled lucky star charm or pendant. The star is set with a tiny seed pearl. The base of the charm reads 'er sei dein Gluckstern' meaning 'he be your lucky star'. The back is hand engraved M. Hilfenberg (I believe it's Helfenberg, a town in Austria). The color is a lovely burgundy, quite unusual to find. It slides open to a picture of the Virgin Mary with her baby. It can be removed and replaced with one of your choosing.

very minor age related surface wear. The enamel is in fantastic condition, barely any wear. It slides open freely. Lovely patina and detail.
